The talks in Germany to flesh out Decembers historic global climate deal are probably not at the top of Donald Trumps agenda this week.
But the diplomats from 196 nations huddled in Bonn are keenly aware of the fact that the The Donald is now within spitting distance of the White House and it is making a lot of them nervous.
It is not hard to see why.
The last Republican standing in the U.S. presidential race has described climate change as a hoax perpetrated by China to gain competitive advantage in manufacturing over the US, an eccentric theory even among climate skeptics.
More recently, he said he was not a big fan of the Paris Agreement, the fruit of two decades of stop-and-go (but mostly stop) wrangling between rich and developing nations.
I will be renegotiating those agreements, at a minimum, Trump told Reuters in an exclusive interview last week, betraying an unfamiliarity with the U.N.s consensus-based process.
And at a maximum I may do something else.

The globalists fear Trump?
Another reason to vote for Trump.
Doesn't take a genius (although Trump is a genius) to figure out that China will benefit greatly from our hobbling our industry while they expand theirs.
Sends shivers? Guess he’s giving them some global cooling, eh?
Good going, Don !
YES!YES!YES!YES!!!!!!
Really, they say this like it a bad thing.
Kill and bury the globull warmimh anti-American agreements.
All these international agreements since the formation of the UN have been designed to destroy American freedom and iniative.
Good news!! Go Trump
Another reason to vote for Trump.
Trump will protect American taxpayers and the
American economy from the scam artists and thieves behind the global warming ripoff.
It is unconstitutional and will override our constitution.
Go Donald!
If you look at China’s increase in production of steel, aluminum and cement, increase in consumpution of coal, and increased electric generation, all since 2000, it’s pretty obvious the Chinese have absolutely no intent to abide by any sort of climate treaty.
However, looking around the web for the actual raw data on increased Chinese economic activity invariably leads to articles bashing Americans for an excessive per capita consumption of energy. Usually, the articles are written in Britain. The whole climate treaty nonsense was not hatched by the Chinese, but the Euros, and was intended to bring us down a notch. They do not care that China is making more of an environmental mess than the rest of the world combined, somehow we’re still the bad people.
So you know where one of these treaties is going to go. Don’t forget 0bama’s quote in 2008, something to the effect that “Americans can’t have 5% of the world’s population and use 25% of its resources and have the rest of the world say it’s OK.”
Um, if the planet is warming, why are they
huddled in Bonn?
Seriously, these World Leaders are enabling fraud and an invasion by an army of young muslim males.....why WOULDN’T we want them rattled?
Warming? 44 degrees this morning in Reno. Forecast high today, 68. That ain’t warming.
Anthropogenic climate change IS a hoax. Some won’t admit it.
The goal of Anthropogenic Climate Change is to impose a world wide per capita ration of natural resource consumption. The rationing is done by an international government created by the treaty process. Each individual nation will surrender their national sovereignty. The designated ruling class is exempt from the ration.
Where it falls apart will not be the resistance of the United States. Our leadership has already declared their intent to sell us out. The treaty falls apart because the Chinese have no intention of abiding by such a treaty. Unless the rest of the world decides to let them get away with it, which they probably will, because that’s what political sell outs do.
