A recent interview with Elijah Wood has reignited the conversation on pedophilia in the entertainment business. The Lord of the Rings star later clarified first to The Hollywood Reporter and then on his personal Twitter account that his comments about "something major ... going on in Hollywood" were based not on his own experiences and observations but rather on news reports and the 2015 documentary film An Open Secret.
But another former child actor — Corey Feldman, star of such iconic 1980s movies as The Goonies, Stand By Me and The Lost Boys — was not so lucky. In past interviews, his A&E reality series The Two Coreys and his 2013 memoir, Coreyography, Feldman has detailed how he was preyed upon by men in the industry. His own experiences were not as nightmarish as what befell his Two Coreys costar, the late Canadian actor Corey Haim. Haim was just 11 when, Feldman says, a man raped him on a movie set. (Haim died in 2010 at age 38 after years of drug addiction.)

He said in another article that the statute of limitations have passed for most of the incidents and the only thing that would come out of it would be him defending himself from lawsuits.

So, he is knowingly letting the pedophiles off the hook to molest again. Wow, great. But he could also be a lying piece of druggie, like most of the child “stars” end up being.
So he names people and there is no response. He’s either found dead or everything is taken away from him in a series of lawsuits.
Tell me what he would accomplish in this and how those guilty would be punished?

Maybe a current or recent victim would still be within statute of limitations.
Seems just self focused to not speak up because statute ran out on himself.
Someone has to step up, change the dynamic, or it just continues.
There are probably more victims, but he could only name the ones that have harmed him. He wouldn’t have standing in naming other children, unless he could prove it.
I think he’s doing all he can by warning parents in general. If you, as a parent of a Hollywood kid, cannot take his warning to heart and take the necessary steps to protect your kid from predators, it’s your fault.

The accomplishment is in telling truth of a crime (old or new) and letting it legally play out.

It’s not similar. Those making the complaint against Cosby have standing, as they claim that he harmed them. Nobody is coming forward to say that Cosby harmed somebody else.
If Corey Feldman named names and could not prove it, the only person to be harmed by that is Corey Feldman.
I did not say he should name other children.
I said he or any victim could speak up, tell what he could about whatever adults/situations and from that it may encourage others to speak up.
People before Feldman’s time knew it was going on and still let there kids be involved in hollywood.
Just like people come forward about B. Clinton, B Cosby etc if they have a crime they feel was committed speak up - I know what it’s like to let people take advantage crossing into criminal activity and the destructiveness of living with not telling, is much worse than telling and letting things play out, even if it leaves you penniless or off the invite list of so called family and friends, etc.
He is doing what he is comfortable with, or is willing to risk of himself and what he has. He is not doing all he can.

How do you know there won’t be any response? Even without naming, this is news. With actual names, it will be HUGE. But the guy is either just making it up or is just allowing the pedophiles to continue.

Proving or not proving is the job of the prosecutors/DA, not Feldman’s. If he knows names, NAME THEM! He has the responsibility and could be sued himself for shielding child molestors. I still think he is just seeking attention. He is never in the news anymore.
