A large police presence was expected to be on hand in hopes of keeping any possible protests outside of Donald Trump's rally in Anaheim under control Wednesday.
The event at the Anaheim Convention Center was scheduled to begin about noon as Trump returns to Orange County for the first time since a campaign rally in Costa Mesa on April 28.
Seventeen people were arrested when violence erupted outside the Pacific Amphitheatre on the OC fairgrounds that day.
Video from Sky5 showed a protester jumping on top of a parked patrol car at the event.
One of the protesters was charged with felony vandalism and misdemeanor inciting a riot, as crowds of protesters flooded the streets.

If Anaheim was paying attention to Chicago, Costa Mesa, and Albuquerque, NM, they’ll bring in half a dozen other agencies + the county. They’re motives are to get to the supporters after they exit the Trump events and cause general violence and anarchy.
How about arrest them for inciting a riot, assaults, damage to private property, harassment, obstructing traffic, attacking LEO, assembling for protest without a permit.
If they are allowed to behave like wild animals in control of the city of Anaheim, they will.
Has Trump addressed legitimate hispanic immigrants with the question, “Is this the USA you came to love? Do these rioters represent you? You can expect more demands and destruction with a vote for the Democrats.” Not addressed just to those at his rallies, but to hispanics nationwide. I think he would (and will) win a large percentage of the latino vote.
One can only hope. My faith has long ago expired.
Those are not Anaheim K9 dogs. All of them are black sable colored GSDs.
One of them tore into an illegal alien protester a few years ago. I think a civil lawsuit is still pending for police brutality.
Hear hear. It just doesn't make any sense that legal Latinos would support illegal aliens. Traditionally it's never been the case: consider the views of Cesar Chavez.
Not just Trump, but EVERY GOP candidate up and down the ballot needs to make the point: "Why, as US citizens or legal residents (some of whom spent years jumping through hoops to come here legally), would you support policies that favor LINE-JUMPERS just because you share their ethnicity"?
