Someone placing a bomb aboard is it has to have some sort of timer/triggering device.
Timer...To what time do you set it?, what if there is a gate hold? If you timed it to go off over water, what if there is a course change do to weather?
Trigger.... Barometric, it will “set” at a particular altitude,as the air pressure decreases,and will trigger once
a preset altitude reached.
(In the case of AirEgypt it was at a Cruise altitude and holding)
I thought “Sudden Jahadi Syndrome” at first , but after seeing the ACARS data, I'm not sure anymore.
There is a backup battery inn the avionics compartment for use if all generators fail.
If it was a Lithium-Ion Battery, they have been known to catch fire due to overcharge

Anyone think they might set them off with cell phones like they do IED’s? They could track the flight online and when wanted, just make the call. BOOM!
