officer nero opted for a bench trial. it was his option to put his fate in the hands of a judge - no jury.
I agree - a Baltimore city jury would have been all black and hung him.

I never had heard of that either- but that’s what is being reported. judge Williams, described as tough minded but fair, rendered the decision.
