My Wife works for the State of California. She had a meeting this last week informing them that because of the minimum wage increase in California , that they were going to get a 20% raise in income, payable over 4years payable at 5% each year. So she will be getting a 2500 raise each year. Whoopee ! She was already at her maximum pay for her position, now in a few years she will be making 10,000 more a year. Helps for retirement.

She better hurry up and retire before the corrupt state goes belly up in a big way. They'll be hard pressed in the future getting their gold plated government pensions/raises et al, from the incomes of low wage illegals. I have nothing but contempt for tens of thousands of these CA AH bureaucrats. It's why I do everything I can to avoid giving those in this corrupt state government a dime in taxes. Believe it. I avoid taxes at every opportunity. It's fun too.
Have fun on your tax funded welfare retirement.
