My generation (post WWII) survived the draft. The resistance to a draft started with the worship of bad citizenship in the 1960’s. All great peoples require their citizens to serve such desire to serve dies with the love of country.
The draft failed because of stupid foreign policy, not bad citizenship. I am not advocating being a felon. But when the government started waging war without declaring it we started down a slippery slope.
