Coca-Cola is halting production in Venezuela of its namesake beverage due to a sugar shortage brought on by the country's grinding economic crisis.

The Atlanta-based company said in an emailed statement Friday said that its production of sugar-sweetened beverages will be suspended in the coming days after local suppliers reported they had run out of the raw material. Sugar-free beverages are not affected and the company said its offices and distribution centers remain open in Venezuela.

So they may just confiscate abandoned stripped down Coca Cola factories and produce a new socialista beverage? Made with no ingredients? Rat cola?

The Democrat-Communists produce nothing but misery.

But that's what Venezuelans voted for.
Was it Mencken who said people generally get the government they voted for, and they deserve it good and hard?

From "One, Two, Three"....

Peripetchikoff: No formula, NO DEAL!

C.R. MacNamara: OK, NO DEAL!

Borodenko: We do not need you! If we want Coca-cola, we invent it ourselves!

C.R. MacNamara: Oh, yeah? In 1956 you flew a bottle of Coke to a secret laboratory in Sverdlosk. A dozen of your top chemists went nuts trying to analyze the ingredients. Right?

Mishkin: No comment!

C.R. MacNamara: And in 1958, you planted two undercover agents in Atlanta to steal the formula. And what happened? They both defected! And now they're successful businessmen in Florida packaging instant borscht. Right?

Peripetchikoff: No comment!

C.R. MacNamara: Last year you put out a cockamamie imitation "Kremlin-kola!" You tried it out in the satellite countries, but even the Albanians wouldn't drink it. They used it for SHEEP DIP! RIGHT? Mishkin: No comment!

C.R. MacNamara: So either get down to business or get off the pot!

Who is John Galt?

John Galt is a racist, an Enemy of the State.
He has been stripped of the moral authority to be allowed self-defense against people the Government favors

Americans voted for this twice; our decline is just somewhat masked by constant running of the printing presses. I don’t blame all Americans, just the stupid POSes that voted for Obama (especially in 2012, when he was already a proven failure, loser, and token).

No Diet Coke? If that doesn’t spark the revolution, nothing will.

Communism equals sugar shortage. Here we pay people to make sugar (subsidies).

I found it interesting that it takes 3 cups of water to make 1 cup of Coke.

It's unclear what the next steps will be but the U.S. State Department on Friday said it welcomes the initiative as a way to guarantee respect for the Venezuelan people and the rule of law.

In State Dept lingo, respect the "rule of law" means keep Maduro in power...

After all he is a law unto himself...

When you can't buy a Coke, you know Maduro is done...

The Castro brothers will give him a hero's welcome in Cuba very soon...

How do think Communism establishes itself? Hint: "subsidies".

And now the new communist leader will nationalize Coca Cola production facilites because they have stopped production in violation of his order to continue producing products, even if you don’t have the raw materials required to make the products. H’mmmm, I guess he thinks that manufactures have Star Trek replicators to make food and equipment out of ‘thin air.’
