Feel free to work into your 80s and you're on your death bed. Not an option I would consider, but go for it!
I faced mandatory retirement at age 62, my wife later that year at 60. Department of the Army rules.
We were accustomed to getting up at 5:00 a.m. to get to work by 0700 & 0730 respectively. We were also Reservists.
Don’t miss it the least little bit now & if I don’t do a darn thing all day except log on to FR, c’est la vie belle.
If she wants to travel, we travel. Otherwise, retirement isn’t going to kill us anytime soon. We’ve served our time.
