Doubtless, this is more of that "Oh, thank goodness we had a Republican majority working for us!" stuff for which GOPe propaganda sheets such as National Review feel we all ought to be so pathetically grateful.

Burn it all down. Build something strong and clean in the ashes.

Give them independence.

End statutory USA citizenship.

Let them default.

Give them the Arecibo Radio Telescope (great location for a skateboard park):

Bond holders priced in a default, let then get what they paid for, or return the excess fees and interest charged.

Let the greedy investment companies and banks who loan PR
this money, take the loss.

Maybe they will learn a lesson.

The aim has been to write legislation that could pass both the House and the Senate before Puerto Rico defaults on a $2 billion debt payment due July 1. …

Isn't the aim, to write legislation that will bail them out? How I despise politicians.

Giving them nearby federal land isn’t a bailout?

Breitbart has a good article on the Obama cronyism at work:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/04/14/obama-cronies-cash-puerto-rico-bailout/

Is it any surprise that Paul Ryan has been “spearheading” the solution for Obama?

After delays, House GOP moves forward to help Puerto Rico rob the fiscally responsible taxpayers to benefit the democrat politicians of Puerto Rico

Once again the GOP showing the spines of jelly fish squanders our hard earned money.

The aim has been to write legislation that could pass both the House and the Senate...

That shouldn't be too hard. After all, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were all too happy to support the biggest budget bill ever, in honor of President Obama. They also gave Obama the TPA with Cruz even voting to give $150 BILLION to Obama’s extreme radical friends in Iran.

Cruz, McConnell, and Ryan love Obama’s bad positions. I don't see how Republicans won't gladly give little PR it's full desires, too.

Republicans are sick in the head.

PR is like a failing division of a company - either shut it down, sell it off, or spin it off. I hope Trump is smart enough to see this and since it cannot be shut down or sold, the only logical choice is to spin it off and be done with it. PR is nothing but a taxpayer money sinkhole.
