And what is also historic is the fact that Trump was running against 16 fellow candidates, so just by sheer force of numbers, no candidate was going to get to 50%, a little fact you neglect to mention. The sin of omission.
I already addressed that. 95% of the votes went to 4 candidates in this race. That’s almost exactly the same as went to the top 4 in 2008. The last three primaries all had a lot of candidates. Most of them in this one were non-factors and dropped out early.
