We have a mental case in the Oval Office.

We have bigger fish to fry than championing mental illness in sexual matters.

Earnest said Republicans in North Carolina started the controversy by passing legislation (HB2), which negated a Charlotte city ordinance allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice. …

Correction: the liberals in Charlotte started the controversy, by passing a city ordinance which went too far. So the state passed a law to restore the status quo.

See what they are doing? They are accusing the Republicans/conservatives of starting this controversy, when it was the liberals who decided to pick this fight. They are the ones who started it by passing the Charlotte ordinance to start with.

Facts don’t matter to liberals.

“...legislation (HB2) which negated a Charlotte city ordinance...”

Which came first Josh? The ordinance or the legislation negating it?

So who led that Charlotte City ordinance? Three guesses. First two don’t count!

I think the NC bill predated the White House involvement. Both sides of course are cynically seeking publicity over a meaningless issue rather than solving the problems of the country.

At this point I am so sick of this issue that I am angry at NC for starting this crap.

Things were fine before. This should not be an issue. It is always wrong for rapists/peeping toms to be in the woman’s restroom. Drop this law and let’s drop this issue.

Trans women have been using women’s restrooms since the 1970s. Big butch lesbians who identify as female but it can be hard to tell are also using the woman’s restroom. Gay men are (often quite creatively) using the men’s room, no matter how flaming.

And my special needs boy is 13 and will NOT go alone into the men’s room (and since he can’t speak I can’t leave him alone outside in some places) so he is coming with me into the woman’s room! He can’t defend himself so I’m not sending him into most big men’s rooms.

Restroom pervs are rare and you can’t stop them all, like you can’t stop all bank robbery. And no one should care about the genitalia of the person in the next stall.

So if Republicans would just let Democrats do whatever they want we would have no controversies? Do I have that right, Josh ?

No, the obama WH created a non-existent issue out of thin air, for the sole purpose of trying to provoke a negative response, and using it as a tool to issue more government decrees over a non-existent issue.

In not so many words: obama is trying to piss off the Christians, and force them to retaliate like his muslim kin would.

This will backfire on them in the worst possible way.

In other words polling indicates that this is not going over well with America, and this may very well end up being part of Obama’s abysmal legacy.

so.. blame the Republicans

Charlotte City Council consists of 5 Democrats and 2 Republicans. So it appears that the original shot fired in the Potty Wars was by the Democrats.

That’s really BS- In Houston it started when the Major pushed an open bathroom law through. No one saw a need for it. That was over a year ago.

I believe this is a totally fabricated wedge issue.

Current crop of ..rats can’t run on the record of the last 8 years so they have to invent something.
