The states highest court on Tuesday reversed a lower court ruling and sided with environmental groups that sued Massachusetts for failing to adopt strict limits on greenhouse gas emissions.
Lawyers for the Conservation Law Foundation, the Massachusetts Energy Consumer Alliance and four Boston and Wellesley teenagers had asked the courts to rule that the state hasnt lived up to its 2008 Global Warming Solutions Act. When it passed, the law was the most aggressive of its kind in the country, advocates said.
The groups said the law requires the Department of Environmental Protection to set strict greenhouse gas emissions limits to help the state meet its goal of reducing those emissions by 25 percent by 2020.

Hosea 8:7
Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, Our houses to aliens.
