I though the change from Rush’s three hour anti-Trump commercial would be interesting, but it’s not. I usually enjoy Mark Steyn, but today he’s just being kind of boring.
Despite the legitimate accusations of snobbery directed at leftists by Rush, Steyn, et al, I sense some very real snobbery where Trump is concerned by many of the same commentators.
Rush, in particular, has tied himself in knots playing a pointless parlor game of ‘no endorsement.’
Steyn relies on his Canadian/British background for ironic distance but the point is he’s chosen to live and work in the States. He can discuss and/or mock figures who are pro- or anti-Trump but sooner or later he needs to commit also.
He is, of course, on much firmer ground when detailing the radioactively corrupt Clintons.
