When I visited London in 1985, I stayed in a hotel across the street from the Paddington railroad station. There were so many Middle Easterners in the neighborhood that I thought momentarily that the Lufthansa pilot that took me to London had made a mistake and landed in Beirut.

When we were young we went to Paddington Station too.

1 block away and it turns into a multi ethnic nightmare, but not really. It was a muslim nightmare. Men ogled my fiancé. We didn’t feel safe.

A year or 2 ago a muslim stabbed a woman to death in Paddington Station, IIRC.
