Sad to start a war with obsolete equipment (TBD Devastator).

Along with the Brewster Buffalo and the Curtiss P-40! This is always the problem with playing defense, the aggressor chooses the time of attack when he has the best of things!

Yet, here and now, we are hollowing out our military with too few men and weapons. Once again I see our weakness embolden our very real enemies!

IIRC, The only operational Buffalo were RAF in Burma & they were steamrolled.
Only actually operational Peashooters in December '41 were with the brand new Philippine Army AF, they bagged some of the first Japanese kills of the war, doing pretty good firing two .30 cal MG from wire braced, fixed gear, open cockpit antiques.
