Contempt is a violation of law. When you’re given a lawful order by the courts, you follow that order or you pay the consequence of violating that law.

It’s kind of a big deal.

Unless you're Obama.

It may get bigger-- the judge says at the end of the order that, after a further hearing, he is going to decide whether to recommend criminal prosecution.

Oh you mean like Lois Lerner and Eric Holder, both cited with 'Contempt' by the U.S. Congress?

Riiiigghhht.

Unfortunately Courts have been known to issue unlawful orders (when it's political, rather than Constitutional) at which time the options are follow the unlawful order, or "pay the consequences," or appeal to a higher court and hope sufficient other jurisdictions will join the resistance to judicial abuse as friends of the court)

Legislated law, or judicial law?

It’s no big deal when RATS do it. They’ve been trying to bring down Sherriff Joe for years. There are even some Joe-haters here on FR. Ex-cons, probably.

It would be a “big deal’ if the courts weren’t such piles of steaming bullshit these days.

How are we supposed to have any respect for them—SERIOUSLY??

“When you’re given a lawful order by the courts”

What makes you think that our fascist, outlaw federal judges issue lawful orders?
