The tax returns thing is only a tradition started by Gerald Ford as a gimmick to show he was uber honest. Releasing tax returns has no basis in law - it is not required and none of our business. The law only requires financial info to be filed because that will go into a trust account for the president.
Taxes should NOT be public.
He’s right!
True....
Nothing to be learned from a tax return...If there was anything illegal, the IRS would’ve already jumped on it like a frog on a junebug....
I don’t think there is necessarily anything wrong or any sort of smoking gun with Trump’s returns other than he probably gets a boat load of special preference deductions that may poke holes in his message.
I don’t care what his tax rate is.
I want to live in a strong and free United States. Period.
He’s right. It’s not their business. they’re just used to people who kowtow to their every ‘demand’.
John Kerry’s tax rate was like 6% when he ran
Hahaha!! The media says “jump” and Trump basically tells them to shove it.
Finally.
Their gotcha bs will end.
It’s not HIS tax rate. It’s what the corrupt tax code says it is.
Americans are just not hard-wired to resent wealth. Some people like to work that angle but forget it
Can someone show me Bill Clinton’s medical records? Or Barack Obama’s college transcripts? They are FAR more relevant.
“When the interviewer, George Stephanopoulos A LONG TIME EMPLOYEE OF THE CLINTON’S AND A WELL KNOWN CLINTON SYCOPHANT asked Mr. Trump directly if he thought voters had a right to see his returns, something that presidential nominees have provided for roughly 40 years, the candidate replied, I dont think they do.
JUST TO GIVE IT CONTEXT.
Great response.
I agree and I tweeted the same to him.
.
NONE of the public’s business and certainly NONE of Willard Romney’s business.
Furthermore, just because Romney and Hillary are dying and demanding to see and scour Trump’s tax returns, were I Trump, I wouldn’t EVER release the damn returns and I’d cite them as my reasons why!
The income tax is a moral abomination.
REPEAL THE 16TH AMENDMENT
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every time he tells the press to go F*** themselves I am going to donate more money
That’s the correct answer to all this tax return nonsense.
Tell the media that the American people think ones tax return is personal private business, and just because a person runs for public office, they are not obliged to make this information public.
No one running for Mayor, city councliman, or school board member would want to be forced do to so. And it’s not because they are hiding anything, it’s because their income and tax status are none of anybody’s business.
Then after the IRS “leaks” it, come down on them like a ton of bricks!
He is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT
If the IRS has no fault with his taxes, then its no one’s business how much he makes or pays
Now - if he ran a mega foundation that took $130 million from a few middle east countries while he was serving in public office
and dispersed about 4% of its total tax sheltered donations to real charity -
maybe we’d want a better look
