Donald J. Trump said Friday that he doesn’t believe voters have a right to see his tax returns, and insisted it’s “none of your business” when pressed on what tax rate he himself pays — a question that tripped up Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential race.
Mr. Trump made the comments in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” as he continued to try to answer questions about his change in explanations over the last year about why he won’t release the taxes.
When the interviewer, George Stephanopoulos asked Mr. Trump directly if he thought voters had a right to see his returns, something that presidential nominees have provided for roughly 40 years, the candidate replied, “I don’t think they do.”
Mr. Trump added: “But I do say this, I will really gladly give them — not going to learn anything but it’s under routine audit. When the audit ends I’ll present them. That should be before the election. I hope it’s before the election.”

If it becomes an issue, don’t say it wasn’t brought up. A lot of people didn’t think Romney and some of his optics would hurt. We see how that worked out.

For a person who does not care about Mr. Trump’s personal tax returns you have now spent over 24 hours on this one thread expressing endless concerns about it. You either have a bad case of OCD or you get paid by the hour to post negative comments on Trump.
BTW, nothing has been negative. Or you have a very skewed definition of negative.
I've always found the more vociferous Trump supporters to be very thin skinned, especially when supporting someone whose main strength has been saying what's on his mind. I would think his supporters would be thrilled to have others do the same, whether it be full out support or full out disagreement or even some degree in between.

Trump should never provide his tax returns. Why should Trump help them destroy him? Trumps enemies want his tax returns for a fishing expedition and to spin any little fuax pas as grand larceny. In extensive tax returns like Trumps of course there will be little things that can be spun in the mass media to hurt Trump..
The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos who runs Amazon. The Post has somehow come up with the money to pay twenty reporters to go after Trump/////Mostly in his real estate dealings so I understand.... Going through them with a fine tooth comb

Been here since ‘97, so I’m thinking he’s an avowed Establishment Republican. Doesn’t like Cruz or Trump, so his guy probably went down already.
