The tax returns thing is only a tradition started by Gerald Ford as a gimmick to show he was uber honest. Releasing tax returns has no basis in law - it is not required and none of our business. The law only requires financial info to be filed because that will go into a trust account for the president.

I don’t think there is necessarily anything wrong or any sort of smoking gun with Trump’s returns other than he probably gets a boat load of special preference deductions that may poke holes in his message.

The nitwit voters in the US are obsessed with one’s level of income. Income is NOT a wealth measurement. It is a means to acquire wealth or in the case here, a means to ensure that you don’t do it through work.
If someone were doing something illegal, would they put it down on their tax return? I doubt it. So, what is the purpose of getting these returns?
Meanwhile, why is it a billion dollar tax exempt entity has to disclose virtually nil about its sources of money? It is income, just tax exempt.

Furthermore, just because Romney and Hillary are dying and demanding to see and scour Trump’s tax returns, were I Trump, I wouldn’t EVER release the damn returns and I’d cite them as my reasons why!
