The rail was charged with 7000 volts. I guess we better build some nuclear power plants. Or coal fired...or oil.
If they build it to fit a single person in a conveyance vehicle, I will ride it. Otherwise not.

I think it’s a matter of time to have underground trains running across the country at the speed of sound.
ONce again, look at all the candidates and what they would say about this. Only Trump would speak from experience, the others would meet with their managers and parson out some response.
That’s why I like Newt. He’s very big on new technology and science and getting the politics right so companies and people will want to build their plants here, and do research here.
Everyone wants this. Trump/Newt team could really transform the all earth and do much good for mankind for once.

At 2.5 G’s acceleration, you’ll get to “know” the guy in the seat in front of you very well!

Failed after five seconds. Scalability is always the issue with these kinds of projects

Won't be that bad.
Top fuel dragsters hit 4g.
They're at 330 mph in 3.7 seconds.
2 more seconds they'll be at 700+

I think this would be great for cargo, although I suspect USP, Fedex, USPS and the Teamsters don’t think so.

Just curious where you read that it failed? The test ran its entire planned fission and distance. Next step is supposedly a in a two mile vacuum tube loop.
