On May 10 former Navy SEAL 10 member Carl Higbie published Enemies, Foreign and Domestic: A Navy SEALs Story. The book highlights the difficulty of winning on the battle under President Obama and the equally daunting task of telling the truth of the enhanced politicization of the military post-George W. Bush.
Enemies, Foreign and Domestic contains a lot of information for individuals who have wondered what it is like to be a SEAL or what the process of becoming a SEAL entails, and it provides background on Higbie and his childhood experiences. But the book ultimately turns on the unnecessary death of SEAL Tyler Trahan and on Higbies involvement in Operation Amberthe operation launched to capture Al-Isawi, the Butcher of Fallujah, in September, 2009.
Trahan was an explosives ordinance disposal technician (EOD) who went out with Marines for a break in the monotony during Higbies second deployment. While Trahan was out, Higbie heard a huge explosion close to base and upon investigation realized Trahan had been killed.

Good, I hope this American patriot's story is widely read.
Copyright infringement, Travis or do you allow professional courtesy?
He better stay away from firing ranges.
Ping.
I...think I have misunderstood something, here.
Or maybe it is ANOTHER “Enemies, Foreign & Domestic” by a DIFFERENT former SEAL..?
Weird..
Yup, RIP, C.K.
My best friend in high school was wounded when a booby trapped 155mm shell exploded in Viet Nam.
It was really his own fault for being too close. The Engineer trying to disarm it was killed.
Speaking of SEALs, there is a new book out by Seymour Hersh, The Killing of Osbama bin Laden. He claims it is true we killed Osama but everything else we were told about it was a lie. He said Obama lies as much as Bush.
Well I sure messed up the name in the title. Sometimes I wish there was a way we could edit our posts.
Me too, even with preview I sometimes mess up.
I think it’s perfect. :-)
Yeah, he’s a good guy, he contacted me, he didn’t know there was another EFAD out there, but his has a subtitle tacked on, no worries. Anyway, you can’t copyright book titles. I can write “Moby Dick by Yours Truly” tomorrow.
Our military is INVISIBLE under 0bama. Where are they? Where are the tributes they deserve? I don’t think I’ve even seen a fighter jet fly over my area in over 5 years.
There was an absence of victory under Obama, GWBush, Clinton, HW Bush, Reagan, Ford, Nixon, LBJohnson and JFK, Eisenhower Et al.
Victory? What an un-American concept.
The way I see it, they are there. Serving mostly under the radar so Obama doesn’t get any grief from his base. But when there is a spectacular victory, like the killing of Bin Laden, Obama is right there to take credit........JMHO.
The officers are holed up somewhere, fretting about their pensions. Either that or plotting with Mikey Weinstein.
Seymour Hersh is to the truth as Kim Il Sung was to sanity.
Titles are not subject to copyright, IIRC.
Active Duty ping.
Interesting. Thanks.
