It was more than a good show. The impression that one got was that Cheney and Lieberman were personal friends and were on the same side of the issues more often than they were opposed. Neither wanted to be there, but their parties demanded it, and this was business.

Each one got in a few cute digs at the other, and I figured that after the show, they went out for a beer and discussed each other's political jump shots.

I am a proud American, and the Cheney-Lieberman debate made me even more proud to be American. They showed the ideal way of conducting politics.
