Ted Cruz Coalition Want Bathroom Laws In Republican Party Platform…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | May 9, 2016 | Sundance

This story is an example why the republican party consistently loses against the progressive left. In response to the ridiculous, albeit recent, NC bathroom laws (which the MSM are having fun bashing conservatives on the head with) the Ted Cruz constituency wants to write bathroom laws into the 2016 republican party platform.

Yes, yes, unfortunately that’s the modern right-wing cultural GOPe. Look over there, shiny thing, shiny thing… quick, go chase it….. quick make a law to control it…. bathrooms, gays, transgenders… oh noes, the humanity !

WASHINGTON DC – After he lost the Republican nomination, Sen. Ted Cruz’s backers will now reportedly pivot towards trying to gain control of the GOP’s platform during the national convention.

According to The New York Times, top Cruz aide Ken Cuccinelli wrote in an email to supporters urging them to come to Cleveland in July to “protect against liberal changes to our platform.” Cuccinelli confirmed the effort to the Times, telling them that Cruz’s backers seek to protect “movement conservatism,” including a firming of the party’s core positions on abortion and the addition of language regarding transgender bathroom use.

“We want to have girls go in girls’ bathrooms,” he said, alluding to how presumptive nominee Donald Trump has taken a more liberal position than Cruz on which bathrooms transgender individuals can use. (read more)

Bathroom monitors? Really? That’s what the Ted Cruz wing of the republican party is worried about… being the bathroom police?

Personally, I’ve come to the conclusion the GOPe actually meets behind mahogany doors and picks out things -intentionally- to make issues out of and give the republican party the public appearance of insane nuttery. I’ve come to believe they do this on purpose as party of the entire construct of the UniParty…. there can be no other reasonable explanation.

A campaign is based on a few general issues.

It isn't about protecting bathrooms from the transgender's.

Prohibition is an excellent of moral people determined to make their morality the law of the land and it did nothing but create a backlash.

And what you are going to do to stop the degeneration of that which the government sanctions like marriage?

You can't!

When a People have lost their moral compass, no government dictates are going to change that.

What government can do is give more time to the churches to actually preach morality and have a revival.

No, it is you who are wrong.

The GOP took a moral stance on a political issue.

Not all moral issues have anything to do with politics.

That is why we don't punish people for adultery or fornication, although many self-righteous prigs would love to do so.

What follows is taken directly from the Republican Platform.

Making the Internet Family-Friendly (Top)

Millions of Americans suffer from problem or pathological gambling that can destroy families. We support the prohibition of gambling over the Internet and call for reversal of the Justice Department’s decision distorting the formerly accepted meaning of the Wire Act that could open the door to Internet betting. The Internet must be made safe for children. We call on service providers to exercise due care to ensure that the Internet cannot become a safe haven for predators while respecting First Amendment rights. We congratulate the social networking sites that bar known sex offenders from participation. We urge active prosecution against child pornography, which is closely linked to the horrors of human trafficking. Current laws on all forms of pornography and obscenity need to be vigorously enforced.

And what effect has that have?

We had a Speaker of the House who was himself a pedophile.

We have laws in place against child pornography that need to be enforced.

As I said, just insert the 10 commandments in the platform and feel good about yourself.

The point being that the nature of the platform is to address issues.

Uni-Party wants to avoid the truth about themselves.

You guys all think that trannies are child molesters—which is the tone used before. Child molestation is illegal. Although in your neck of the woods, the child may be bound by the marital privilege. Your ignorance is stunning.

It is your ignorance that is stunning. Of course most transsexuals are not interested in molesting girls. But opening up all female facilities to whoever happens to self-identify as a female at that moment greatly increases the chances - as we are already seeing - that sick perverts will take their opportunity to enter female facilities and molest women and girls.

Well, the 10 Commandments would address a great deal of issues wouldn't it?

We could make the platform a million pages dealing with all of the issues this nation is facing and how many things we are against!

My concern is not the true transgender who simply needs to use a bathroom. My concern is the guy who just wants to get into the girls room to ogle or peek, and would be able to just waltz into one whenever and wherever.

Exactly. The new Federal policy which mandates that any self-identifying female (even for that moment) must be granted access to girl's and women's facilities opens the door to predators.

If persecution of Christian bakers, wedding-photographers, and the free reign of perverts to ogle little girls in ladies’ restrooms are just minor ‘religious’ issues to be ignored by ‘conservativism,’ then I have no interest in conservatism anymore. No interest in conservatism, nor the GOP, nor the survival of this sick, depraved excuse for a country, which is what things have come to.

Agreed. Efforts by some on this forum to dissociate "social issues" from conservatism will destroy the entire movement. The GOP has always stood for the seamless advocating of social and fiscal conservatism.

Do you not notice the feds going after NC? It’s already federalized. But if it makes you happy your position is winning...

Exactly. The train has already left the station: the LGBT agenda is being enforced at the Federal level.

Digger mocks Godly leaders like Ted Cruz who think grown men going into girls showers is sick, twisted and disgusting.

Agreed. Shameful.

All of this holier than thou crap belongs with the states.

"Holier than thou crap"?

Really? You are revealing your disdain for common-sense moral positions that until very recently were widely affirmed by Americans - and which are explicitly affirmed by this forum. You are a Fifth Column seeking to undermine those godly principles.

While it is important to protect minority rights, it is also important to protect the rights of the majority, and that is just not happening. More and More the majority of the people are being forced into accepting rules that infringe on their rights, safety, and beliefs.

Good point!

So every transvestite is a pedophile? You really need to read something other than the bible.

Your disdain for the Bible and Christianity is palpable.

No one is claiming that every transvestite is a child molester. The point is that granting access to women's facilities will provide an open door for perverts, as we are already seeing.

Yes, in reaction to the NC law which made a specific issue out of it!

It was the Charlotte NC pro-transsexual ordinance which forced this issue, and made it necessary for the legislature to address the issue.

Don’t worry. The GOP never finds a hill to fight on. They surrender on everything, and most especially anything to do with morality or social issues. The days in which the GOP proudly stated it stood for ‘family values’ are long over. This is the new, modern “Denny Hastert” GOP, run by homos, pedos, and perverts. I spit on the GOP.

I agree and am almost at that point myself.
