I am an evangelical who voted for Ted Cruz, but I do not feel abandoned because of Trump’s win. The GOP abandoned me long ago, and now I see Donald Trump as the ONLY candidate capable of breaking the powerful inertia of our decline. We might sink anyway, but President Trump offers our best opportunity to halt the illegal invasion and right the ship before we slip into history.

There are more of us than even voted for Cruz.

This article is BS.

I started supporting Cruz a year ago before Trump got in the race. Then I switched to what I perceived last June as the dark horse winner. And my horse Trump ran so well, that he finishes the race with the nomination.

But I have a couple a girl friends in Arizona from high school back in the 60s, who supported Cruz to the very end and are now so devastated that their guy dropped out and Trump is the nominee, that they are beyond distraught with despair. They refuse to even concede that the race is over a week after their candidate dropped out and swear to never vote for Trump.

Well, most people get over their wounded egos and thin skins and will vote for the Republican nominee in November. But these two gals, I fear, have permanently damaged their psyches because of their irrational behavior. Other friends are concerned about their mental health after all the stress of the campaign. They took it too personally and can't unravel themselves from their vision of Cruz as president. We hope time will bring them back to reality.

Life is too short to destroy yourself over things you can't control.
