The middle classes in Germany and the USA are both in sharp decline, while top earners on both sides of the pond reap the rewards, a study by the German Institute for Economic Research shows.
The number of Germans counted as belonging to the middle classes sank by six percent between 1991 and 2013, the study released on Friday found.
The trend in the Federal Republic closely matches a similar drop seen in the USA over the same period.
While in Germany people from all migrant backgrounds were most likely to have fallen out of this income group, in the USA the trend hit migrants of a Latino background worst of all.
There was also bad news for young people in the report. More and more people between the ages of 18-30 are falling into the category of low earners in Germany.

Well, obviously, they need more migrants. [/s]
I was being polite. I think “invaders” is a better term.
In the German case, you have a number of Albanians and Macedonians....who view employment and economic prospects in their home area to be worthless to discuss presently. So, they just want jobs, period. They aren’t exactly desiring to be Germans though.
Then you toss in Poles, Czechs, Greeks, and some Spanish folks (with educational backgrounds....some with degrees)...who see serious job issues in the homeland, and they’ve been offered jobs in Germany. They also don’t care about citizenship. They see themselves in Germany for five to ten years....while waiting for economics in their old country to return to some norm.
So, then you have the North AFricans, Syrians, Afghans, Egyptians, etc....who all want to stay....becoming Germans. Well....most of them anyway. I’ve bumped into some Syrians here in Germany are straight forward about leaving Germany as soon as Assad is gone and a new peaceful gov’t arrives.
Illuminati plan going precisely as designed. Regular as clockwork, as the Sheeple remain in the dark. Noses in smartphones. Asleep.
What is the objective, measureable definition of middle class again?
This could be partially due to West Germany’s annexation of that cesspool called East Germany. But then we’ve basically annexed Mexico so maybe we have something in common with West Germany.
This is a deliberate result of the actions of the politicians. They know full well that they are destroying economic security for the working people who built up their country.
German taxes are almost the highest in the civilized world. No one in the middle class, or below, has any chance of saving up some money, to start a business, or for retirement. People are left just enough so they won’t starve to death. The rest is taken by Merkel and distributed among African immigrants, Greek banks, and the like. Only the super-rich, who have their money overseas, are save.
I guess any correlation between mass immigration of low-skilled workers and the disappearance of the middle class is purely coincidental.
Bring in millions of third-world migrants who can’t take care of themselves in a first-world society, and then say “shazaam, the middle class is shrinking.”
Well duh, the globalist elites want to reimpose feudalism worldwide, not just in the US.
So much for American Liberals touting the vaunted German Economic Model.
And the Free Traitors are leading the charge.
Export skilled labor
Import unskilled laborers
the fun of socialism!
Yes, importing poverty, illiteracy, and diseases will obviously help...somehow.
In America, the pols have taxed the middle class to death. They are killing the golden goose and the small businesses that are the growth engine.
When you get an answer to that, will you please 'ping' me?
IMO, far too often "middle class" is used to encompass "working class." It seems that the term "working class" is felt to be a perjoritive. Nobody wants to lay claim to it. Fortunately, I openly and proudly claim to be "working class" and care not if others look down their collective noses. Aside from a brief, futile excursion into business ownership in the late 80s, my entire working life was spent in the employ of others and for that I have no regrets. It's a shame that folks have such insecurity that they must lie to themselves and others with self aggrandizement.
