For someone who only hires "the best", Trump sure has a lot of relatives "the best" at running campaigns.
I am old enough to remember when John Kennedy filled his administration with brothers and in-laws. There is precedent.
Trump may say he hires only "the best", but there is an old engineer's saying that "better" is the enemy of "good enough". And, in this case "best" is also the enemy of "good enough".
The most valuable resource he has is his own time. If he can fill top spots with people he knows and trusts without spending days and weeks on the selection he can better fight the main battle. All he really has to do is be better than Hillary, who does not even have a transition team head yet. And it would be very presumptuous of her to appoint one.
Think about Trump's accomplishment for a minute. A few months ago Hillary was considered to the the presumptive nominee of the RATs and Donald was just one of the crowd. That has completely turned around and she is fighting Bernie tooth and nail while Donald basks in the sunlight of the winner's circle.
Sooner or later the RAT nominee is going to have a transition team head and Donald will characterize it as a "me too" move.
He recently hired an ex-Goldman Sachs executive who worked for George Soros
