Local conservatives are celebrating Ryan for his caution on endorsing Trump. We Wisconsin conservatives will support the Republican standard bearer, if - and only if - the candidate bears the Party's standards of smaller government, lower taxes and reducing entitlements. That's all Ryan is asking for. And that's a reasonable position.

Ryan is not a conservative. He is against the Wall (national security issue), for amnesty (Rule of Law issue), and for the importation of increased numbers of foreign workers (jobs and economic issue). He approved the lifting of the sequester caps; he supported TARP. Are those conservative issues?

Ryan is just another Big Government "conservative." You can defend him all you like. He can't be trusted. It is not a reasonable position to say you haven't made up your mind whether to support the presumptive nominee of the party or not. Ryan is the Speaker of the House and the chair of the GOP convention. We need to start having the GOPe sign loyalty oaths.

Eric Cantor signed for me the book below, which he co-authored with Ryan and McCarthy. One down and two to go. These "Young Guns" are why the party is dying.

Ryan is not a conservative.

I never said he was. I said Wisconsin conservatives support Ryan.
