The only problem with that is that these people are not safe on the roads and I could care less if they are sent to jail. I don't care if their brains are fried and that they can't think cognitively after prolonged use of marijuana.

That whole argument ignores decades of study as well as common sense.

Plenty of weed smokers are as safe with it as you are with your beer. Your attitude is irrational and emotional and leads to the advocacy of poor policy.

Every study ever conducted on the subject has found that folks under the influence of cannabis solely get in far fewer auto accidents than do folks under the influence of alcohol solely.

The difference is large. The conflation comes because many people have both drugs in their system at the time of the accident.
