The wall will not be obsolete, even with 11 million Mexicans illegally north of the wall when it’s built. The key is to send those criminals back home. At that point, the wall will be well worth having.

So the author thinks walls are obsolete?

That “wall” on the 38th Parallel seems to be still doing fine 60+ years later.

I am 100% in favor of the wall; but that can’t be the be-all, end-all of our policies. Without deportation and taxation, the wall will be useless. Remember what George Patton said:

“Fixed fortifications are a monument to the stupidity of man. Anything built by man, can be destroyed by him.”

If Mexico’s economy fails, too bad. Maybe they will finally elect someone who root out the corruption and drugs, which is why their economy is so bad.
