Yes about a Trump-Gingrich team. Newt would be a success on the ticket, and he would attract conservative support, not to mention reassurance, that Trump could use in the fall. He has expertise, brains, and brass.
Kasich could help Trump win Ohio - but after than he’d be useless or worse. Newt’s not going to bring in any states... they’ll have to be Trump’s job. But once Trump’s President Newt’s worth his weight in gold...
Also, I suspect Trump will be running against Sanders or Biden... not Hillary. Newt knows the pitfalls of Socialism and he knows insider ‘ways’. He would be good against either Sanders or Biden.
How about Newt as Speaker of the House? That would get legislation passed.
