Little bit of both. But I miss the actual maps. You could see at a glance what was all around you and make side trips off your main route. When you plug in a destination on the car GPS, it gives you a very narrow view of your trip and basically you go point A to point B without knowing all the great things you are passing by.

Still use maps and never get lost. It helps to understand when you are going north, south, east or west.......
