Politics is a dirty business, but this may be dirtier than usual (or it may be inertia). It looks mostly like a “Vote Cruz not Kasich” email, rather than “Vote Cruz not Trump”, and it may simply have been programmed into the sequence and them not stopped when the campaign was suspended. Let’s not jump to conclusions here, but let’s also not get complacent.

Whether exceptionally sleazy or merely bureaucratic inertia, this is a useful reminder. Trump voters need to go to the polls for the rest of the primaries. Trump needs to choose loyal delegates in the remaining states and not just delegates who are compelled to vote for him against their will. And Trump supporters need to volunteer in his campaign from now until the election is over and then still stay vigilent until the inauguration.

It is time, past time, for Trump and Cruz supporters to unite behind the republican nominee. I hope Cruz supporters will follow my advice above and volunteer in the Trump campaign. Even if you think Cruz would be better, that is not a real-world option. There is no doubt that Trump would be dramatically better than Hillary in every way.
