Its reasonable that he’d not go on vacation while his coach was being investigated. He may have even been asked to stick around for questioning. In the end, the DA didn’t prosecute anyway. What was Paterno supposed to do, announce all that? And get the University sued for defamation?

Perhaps not let him use the university facilities for his trysts with 10 year old boys? Perhaps tell Jer he was no longer allowed at Penn State football functions, especially when he would sit on the dais with young boys as his dates. Young boys he shared a hotel room with upstairs.

It is reasonable to any of us who routinely change our schedules, but JoePa was not one of those men. He stayed on schedule as though he had OCD. What that reporter discovered was an anomaly that had never happened before, and never happened again. JoePa knew. He did everything in his power to keep it from becoming public knowledge.
