The 4-alarm inferno at A-1 Custom Packaging started just before 10 a.m. local time in the Spring Branch neighborhood. It began as a house fire before moving to the warehouse, Houston police told NBC News. No injuries were immediately reported.

I hope it’s not arson and a cover to steal weapons and ammo. In any case, I pray all will be safe.
Great fireball photo!
I am at Gunspoint, er, Greenspoint and could see the smoke from the 7th floor of my building.
A friend called me and told me to look out the window.
So I did. I said “meh” and went back to work, but now that I hear it is a gun warehouse I think I may have to take a half day.
You know, to mourn.
Hey, somebody lost their collection in that warehouse fire.
I’m near the Galleria on the 8th floor. We could see the smoke but weren’t the least bit worried.
It is at a packaging warehouse, not a gun warehouse. There is a gun shop nearby, but not a warehouse. I don’t think the gun shop was burned.
Interesting. I was wondering what exactly was meant by “gun warehouse”
This is even showing up on the area’s weather radar.
I was thinking the same thing but I am sure BO is happy to see this go up in flames.
“...believed there was ammunition and chemicals with a possibility of igniting and exploding at the scene,...”
HELL of an explosion in the first 6-7secs on the clip at the site!
I am just a few miles south of this fire. The smoke was massive.
Please be careful; don’t breath the fumes from burning plastic.
I am 2 blocks south of 10 on Chimney Rock I don’t think we are close enough to be in danger, but thanks for the warning.
Ah, the smells of Texas.
One thing I do not like about TX is the propensity of folks to burn plastic along with their other trash.
It demeans us. We are not Mogudishu or Tijuana!
We call that a basement out here.
That explosion was so big that it blew my entire collection into that lake over there. I saw it hit, right there in the deepest, weediest, muddiest spot. I'm sure of it.
