Charleston, WV

Charleston is the capital and largest city of the State of West Virginia. It is located at the confluence of the Elk and Kanawha Rivers in Kanawha County. As of the 2013 Census Estimate, it had a population of 50,821, while its metropolitan area had 224,743. It is a center of government, commerce, and industry.

Early industries important to Charleston included salt and the first natural gas well. Later, coal became central to economic prosperity in the city and the surrounding area. Today, trade, utilities, government, medicine, and education play central roles in the city's economy.

I was looking for the Country Roads song by John Denver (linked up thread). This link just keeps playing one of his songs after another - pretty good link if you like John Denver (which you and I do :-)

One of my favorites was Rocky Mountain High. We had just moved from Denver to Seattle and our friends from Denver came up to visit us. We took the Princess Marguerite (beautiful old ship not in service any more) from Seattle to Victoria, BC. On the way back we were all in the large lounge/bar area and they had an Irish band. I requested Rocky Mountain High and we all sat there singing at the top of our lungs - many others joined in. It was fun!

They are not as big as IHOPs but more like diners. I always go to one when I travel down South. Bare bones, no frills, just good food at a good price. They are also kind of quirky. They still have jukeboxes and on the jukebox are some songs that are actually written specifically for Waffle House like "There are Raisins in my Toast" and "They're Cooking Up my Order".

They also have a tradition where the waitstaff taking your order have to go stand on a particular tile on the floor called "The Mark" and shout your order to the grillmen using a special code which tells them how to set up your plate.

Waffle House is a huge chain in the South. Two out of every 100 eggs produced in the United States ends up at a Waffle House.

Funny thing is I've never had a waffle there. I always get the eggs, bacon and grits.

@mitchellvii WV the delegates go to the presumptive nominee On the first ballot. But what about the 2nd and 3rd ballot? Make sense? No one is expecting it to get to the 2nd or 3rd ballot anymore, but no one expected Cruz to steal delegates to the point where the sitting Govenor in AZ was blocked from being a delegate just a week ago.

Of course all delegates go to Trump on the first ballot. But how do we know they are true Trump supporters?
