Nothing new here. This was reported on before and expected.
So Trump lent himself money for the primary...
****************************************
So he can pay himself back for the general.
Is he taking Prince Rebus RNC money?
Trump shouldn’t use his own money for the general.
Pretty cool, huh? He finances an all-time low spending campaign-—something like 1/3 of what Cruz spent-—and the only money he owes is to himself.
It was his own money to lend to himself out of his investments rather than cash them out
and so how does that offend you?
Time for the rest of us to help him finish the job of taking down the Clintons
Last night he said he would be raising money for the Party, but hadn’t decided about whether to self-fund his own campaign.
> lent his campaign $36 million of the $47 million he spent
Hmmm, if he “lent”, then he’ll have the option of getting paid back. OPM prevails.
Nor should he...
It’s time for the Republican party to step up and support their nominee to defeat the Dem nominee, whether it’s Hillary or anyone else.
I would not expect him to pay for the general election.
Trump beat 16 others, who spent almost $400 million to defeat him.
He spent almost $47 million of his own money and took 10 months of insults, attacks and smears, and emerged victorious.
The key is it’s his money.
This will be interesting. Trump v Uniparty $ocialists, International $ocialists and self-funded $ocialists who share ideological spit with the masters of their universe.

Follow the money BUMP!
By having outside funding, he keeps his personal money in reserve.
He thus retains the option of telling any or all of the donors to go to hell if they dare to presume that giving him money allows them to give him orders.
Perfectly reasonable decision. Trump will not be representing only himself now that he is the Nominee...or after he is officially designated as such. He will be carrying the colors for the entire republican party and all its contenders. He’ll be raising money for the party and others should carry the load. He has done a tremendous job on his own. Time for the party to work FOR Trump instead of against him.
From small donors in a general election Trump will get somewhere between $250 to $500 million. Trump can run a very effective campaign without spending a billion or more as we have witnessed.
Fair enough. Let’s go beat Hillary like a dirty rug!
It seems pretty late to be making this decision. He should have been raising money all along yet he’s just now thinking about raising money. He’s operating in slow motion.
By the standard set in the past six months, he’s now owned and compromised.
I didn’t buy that line before, and don’t now. Taking money is a vital part of the process, and there’s no way to avoid it. It also gets more people with skin in the game and invested in a victory. This is the right call.
Good thing.. $47 million to win the nomination, vs $210 million spent by opponents to lose. For less than a quarter of what his opponents spent, he won the nomination.
May I be the first in line to request that Trump lend the national campaign some money? Seems like a very, very good investment.
