The minimum wage should be pegged to inflation. Would take away the issue.

You can’t have an open border and no minimum wage. That is a recipe for economic and social suicide.

And he wants to keep small businesses here?
This won’t help at all.

It’s all hot air. Take everything said on these side bar issues with a grain of salt.

The minimum wage will always go up. Saying he’s open to it is like saying he’s open to the sun coming up in the morning.

The Minimum wage in 1960 was $1.25, with Inflation, the minimum wage should be close to $15.00 an hour.

Who cares. Paul Ryan will bock this.
The bigger problem is Paul Ryan will put every process in place to stop anything on immigration that has Trump & public support.

If Trump delivers on the jobs, then the wages were going to go up anyway.

IMO, part of the reason Cruz abruptly dropped out yesterday was to flush this sort of liberal idiocy out of Trump as soon as possible, and before the convention. Trump’s initial instincts on virtually every issue seem to be almost completely in line with the north east liberal democrat orthodoxy.
You have to have something that you can live on. Since when does how much a job pays depend on what some politician thinks people need to “live on”? Raising the minimum wage will only accelerate the pace of automation and deny jobs to the very people liberals think they are helping. We are so screwed.

If you need money to live on, then perhaps taxes should be cut rather than a higher minimum wage which will slow the economy even further. I think Trump needs to learn macroeconomics.

Regardless of the wisdom of a minimum wage, I think it should be a state issue. Particularly given the vastly different labor markets/wage structures throughout the country. But no one has ever claimed Trump was a proponent of states rights, or of devolving power to the states from an oppressive federal government.
