Donald J. Trump will decide in the next week whether to accept support from super PACs. He is leaning toward a conventional political figure as a vice presidential pick. He has not yet spoken with Senator Ted Cruz. And those haters whove been the most critical of him? He doesnt necessarily want their support.
Those were a handful of comments Mr. Trump made in four phone-in interviews on morning TV shows the day after he became the Republican partys presumptive nominee.
Mr. Trump told the hosts of Morning Joe on MSNBC, in his first appearance of the day, that he was debating whether to accept support from super PACs. Mr. Trump had made bashing such groups a staple of his campaign stump speeches, and a change to embrace taking unlimited contributions from a single donor would be significant.

Or he can continue to run a lean machine operation and take the Tax Payer public money, $100 Million.
I doubt he will sell any properties or borrow against them. He hates debt and he will not sell assets. Yet he hates the Super PACS also.
The debts owed are to himself as he loaned his campaign that money.
He is paying his bills.
Hasn’t dispersed the funds to all the vet organizations either but may not have received all the donations from others yet.
This thing costs over $100 million.
Excellent!
I imagine we're going to find out between now and election day.
These are loans to himself. He will probably pay some right before 12/31 for tax purposes.
To himself. Might wanna add that.
I don't think it will be only middle class, and I don't think it will be a new party, but it will shake up the GOP for a very long time.
I just am hoping when he makes his case, that he doesn't abandon what bring him to the table.
At this point we have a system where there are 2 slots open for a race - evolved over the winner take all system we have that necessitates a 2 party system. The Democrats and Republicans long ago were different but over time it really is a uni-party on most issues - that had to happen for the cold war. Few policy shifts, etc.
Inside both parties there are at least 3 to 4 different ideological factions. The Cold War unified the GOP factions and New Deal unified the Dem factions.
The Dems still believe in socialism so their coalition can stay relatively intact. But the Cold War ended and there is less reason to have the GOP factions agree. The War on Terror unified the GOP factions but it proved a poor substitute for the power the Cold War had on the GOP mind. After Iraq there unified war party system broke up and now the GOP is many factions under one tent.
Trump being against interventionist neocon BS wars, against free trade and keeping the social safety net and exporting illegals to keep a safety net viable unites many of these factions under his tent.
Yep. Overthrowing one of the old parties is to create a newbparty....with ballot access already assured.
May it be so! Those are the true conservatives, as defined at our founding by Benjamin Franklin.
