National polls mean bupkiss. It’s state by state ans the Electoral College. Like the primaries and caucuses. Representative Republic, not a Democracy.
I see your point. But the popular vote almost always predicts the winner of the Electoral College. There are exceptions such as in 2000 with Bush/Gore but that was a very tight race with Gore getting 48.4% to Bush's 47.9%. I think you have to go back to 1824 for another example and that was a very close race too.
There is no example of a candidate being well ahead in the popular vote and not also winning the electoral college vote. That's probably why we see so many national polls.
Man, you keep moving the goal posts...”Trump will be creamed by Hillary, Cruz is the only one that can beat her.” Now, when polls show Trump beating her, now it’s “national polls” don’t matter, it’s only state by state. Well, where do you think the states are located? In the nation which serves as a “temperature”, of course states can vary, but give the guy some credit. He has turned this around and likely will bury her by the time it comes to November.
You missed the entire point.
Really? Wonder how Gallup has stayed in business for 81 years.
Are you masquerading as Sherlock Homes or Jacques Clouseau???

True. And that’s the problem the Republicans have. Any Democrat starts off with like 240 EV’s in the bag. Republicans can’t win in states like WI, MI, IL, OH, PA, MD, CO, CA, OR, WA or NV anymore because the huge urban population centers go like 80% for the Democrats no matter what and there just aren’t enough votes in the rural parts of the states.
