Why could he not answer that question? Will he support Trump in the general election if he wins the nomination ? Is that a “gotcha ya” question ? No its a fair question but lyingted avoided it over and over
Cruz is using what free airtime he can get to attack Trump. Todd was trying to get him to concede. Wait till Tuesday, Chuck. Then you might get an answer. Iac, Cruz has a very good point. Some network could have made a mint with another Republican debate, No pressure on Trump to do so. Why?
Cruz doesn’t need an Intervention, he needs an Exorcism.
“Some network could have made a mint with another Republican debate, No pressure on Trump to do so. Why?”
Because it had become obvious that the debates had become ‘Get Trump’ events. Why in the world would he agree to more than the scheduled 12?
He is so smarmy, I feel the need to take a hot shower after I listen to him to get the grease off my skin.
Let him defend his policies in a debate with his opponents. He wont do it. No candidate with a lead gives his opponents a debate. The question is: why arent the networks pressuring Trump to debate? Because in the long run they will make much more money following a Trump candidacy. Win or lose, he is going to be great copy right up to November. No, fail or succeed, Trump will be great copy.
Trump should be able to hold his own with just two guys. Besides, as you said, Trump has just gone on record with new positions since the last debates.
You haste because you think Trump really is the guy he plays on reality television and you need Cruz to be the villain. I think that if Trump wins, he will disappoint you.
Indeed you are not listening. Pretty much the same way that liberals treat conservatives.
Here is an example of Ted flip-flopping from earlier debate ...........
Cruz answered next, saying he too would support Trump as the nominee.
Yes, because I gave my word that I would, he said, referring to a Republican National Committee pledge signed by each of the GOP contenders.
And Ted is delusional for saying Trump is part of the Washington cartel and is a Washington insider.
Cruz, bitter about Trump’s “free media” air time, totally wastes a fat opportunity with Chuck Todd. He had six or seven minutes of national TV to sell himself and his platform, but all he could do was waffle and evade and rant like some deranged Trump hater. “Debate champion” — almost laughed off the air by run of the mill lefty Todd. Pathetic.
[[Nah...Cruz is simply smart enough to not allow himself to be Todd Akind by the mainstream media]]
shhhh- you can’t disrupt a good ‘cruz is an A#$#%hole’ pile on thread with facts- Cruz can do no right- haven’t’ you learned that yet? Oh and he’s a serial adulterer too- the National Enquirer and trump supporters say so- therefore it is-
I recall how Cruz was the nicest of all the opponents to Trump. Then Trump turned on Cruz; that’s where the animus started. Was it mid-December? I’m afraid the mantra “Lyin’ Ted” is not going away.
What hurts bad is that there are some ten states in which Cruz has not carried even one county.
#LyinTed is becoming creepier and creepier by the day. It’s not just his personal and professional resumes that resembles obama’s — lawyers educated in ivy league universities and so-called “immersed in Constitutional law”,junior senators with messiah complexes and murky backgrounds, raised in foreign lands and in divorced broken homes — but his pathological persona so parallels the bastard’s as well. He’s as pigheaded, audacious, liar and self-promoting egotist. He could pretty much write “Dreams from my father” part 2.
Everyone it seems thought Cruz had the best debating skills of all 16 candidates. It didn’t help much, or his skills were to academically-oriented and specialized. He couldn’t connect to the “little guy”.
Cruz is ignoring Todds implication that Trump has the nomination won and using the free airtime he has to attack Trump. Even if he does not get the nomination, he knows that he has a large block of delegates who favor him and do not like Trump. If he manages to do well in Indiana and his supporters do not abandon him. (He will know before the press does), if he can end up in thew same place where, say. Bob Taft was after losing to Ike, then he carries away something for the future. Trumps needs conservatives to win. If he does, and disappoints, than Cruz will exploit whatever advantages he has. He would not be alone in case Trump disappoints by losing or failing his followers in office. Lots of young guys in the Republican party.
