What appears to be meaningless fluff today could well be laying the groundwork for an upcoming spin move.

I’ve been waiting for the Euros to snap out of it and come to understand that Islam is there to destroy Europe, not to integrate. The emergence and success of many different anti-mohammadean voices across the continent presages some movement in the reality-based direction.

The European politicians are wildly out of sync with the populace, just like in the US. The average German is scared and angry over the refugee situation.
