Most of the turmoil today is not as much about the people vs. the establishment or Republicans vs. Democrats as it is about man vs. God. America did not become great because of great men. America became great because there was an underlying foundation of faith in God that made for great men. The foundation men built upon was an acknowledgement of God. That is what made America great. Almost all the men who are responsible for American greatness were men of faith, and even those who were so to a lesser extent drew upon the principles and ideas of those who were. God was a given to those people.

Today and for some time now, the people of this nation have looked to the greatness of personality rather than to moral principles. People trust the wisdom of man rather than faith in the reality of a living God. People in America today desire a king to rule over them, whether it is the Pharaoh type we now have or the Godless Nimrodic tower builder who promises security. The nation as a whole on both sides of the political spectrum has made idols out of Godless men who promise greatness. America to a large degree has sold its soul and chosen man over God. Great men show humility before God and acknowledge him as the source of all goodness and greatness. They do not exalt themselves as though they are God. They are repentant before God and seek his forgiveness and guidance every day. Men who come in their own name proclaiming their own greatness and promising to bring greatness with them are in every case men of destruction. Any nation or people who exalts them to rule over them will inevitably come to naught.

Thank you for your insight and I agree but the choice is between Trump and Cruz, when I look at Cruz I see a fraud, a very stealthy and hypocritical fraud. Cruz is like a serpent very cunning, he is something like the description of the Anti-Christ someone who is so convincing that may be able to fool even the elect. Cruz has a religious message and to me it is very cultish. Cruz really thinks he is all that and I believe that he is a hypocrite which makes him very dangerous—remember David Koresh? All sweet talk and Bible verses, the devil can quote Bible verses all day long if he wants to.

I look at Cruz and I look at Trump, both men have faults. You can see Trump’s a mile away but you have to get real close to Cruz to see his. Trump has been in the public eye for 30 years. He has been an adulterer but people do wrong things and they mature and change and I think Trump has. Jesus saved his greatest criticisms for the hypocritical clergy of his day not the obvious sinners and in the end it was the hypocritical clergy who had him crucified not the people at the local pub.
