Republican presidential candidate seeks help from governors and former rivals to stop Donald Trump in Indianas primary.
Sen. Ted Cruz, in a last-ditch effort to derail Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, is trying to marshal support from governors, former rivals and other anti-Trump Republicans in advance of the make-or-break primary in Indiana Tuesday.
With polls showing him lagging behind the New York businessman in the Hoosier state, the Texas senator talked up the somewhat equivocal support he received from Indiana Gov. Mike Pence on Friday.
Mr. Pence said on an Indianapolis talk-radio show that he would vote for Mr. Cruz because he is a principled conservative who has dedicated his career to advocating the Reagan agenda. But then, Mr. Pence added, I particularly want to commend Donald Trump, who I think has given voice to the frustration of millions of working Americans.

This doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement of Cruz.
It's time for Cruz and his supporters to face reality, get on the Trump train and work on defeating Hillary and the Dems.
There will be other times and opportunities for Cruz later on.
I compare Pence’s “endorsement” to a prisoner of war who denounces their government on camera, the gun at their head hidden.
Think the powers above ordered Pence to do it.
It’s a no-brainer. Cruz should know that there is no remaining path to the nomination for him, if he were to stand down and pledge to work WITH Trump to defeat Hillary Rotten Criminal, he could possibly self-rehabilitate himself from being viewed as a puppet of the GOPe, and someone who places the needs of our Nation above their own political fortunes.
If he gives up, will Glenn Beck?
I bet that even though he says he is voting for Cruz, when it comes to actually voting he picks Trump and has a grin on his face when coming out of the voting booth.
Will the media at last acknowledge Trump has won, or will they say "yep, Kasich has Trump one-on-one now!"?

In other news, the Satanists are not very happy about Boehner comparing Cruz with Satan...
Another last stand?
Trump has obviously peaked.
Again.
Everyone I know is supporting Trump.
So will Cruz maybe, finally drop out after he loses Indiana?
He and Carly will probably announce some cabinet picks after the loss. After that they may move on to ambassadors. It’s getting that silly.
I started with Cruz. I have serious concerns about Trump. I have been very disappointed with Cruz after he went negative. He would have grown in stature had he avoided this because few expected him to do as well as he did.
It’s time to focus on November and Hillary. It is getting downright silly now..... the VP announcement was ridiculous and the all important momentum is Trumps - now is the time to buckle down and defeat her.
It’s time to see if Trump can do half of what he promises and retire the Clintons once and for all. Cruz is damaging himself now and strengthening the GOPe that hated him (and still does). If he can’t see this he isn’t the man I hoped he was. This thing got ugly, but Cruz (more than anyone) could remove much of the ugliness and position himself for the future if he truly believes what he says about Hillary.
Pence is vulnerable and he knows it. He’s trying to suck up to both sides.
Ummm...Pence started off the interview praising Trump.
And all morning, WIBC was beside themselves anticipating this "significant announcement"
That is it in a nutshell.
I’m north of Indy and spend a lot of time in very conservative Hamilton County.
I wouldn’t know what a Cruz sign even looks like, having never seen one ANYWHERE.
No Clinton signs either. 1 for Bernie and dozens for Trump
This SHOCKING Texas Approval Has ROCKED The Cruz Campaign
"Former Texas governor, Rick Perry denounced his colleague Ted Cruz and officially sided with Donald Trump."
Cruz is at risk of losing his Senate seat in 2018.
