Ya I never understood that whole race conversation thing.

Were we supposed to discuss race relations with the cashier and hold up the line? Were we supposed to discuss race with the person behind us in line?

Dilbert-—it was first of all the most classically misguided guilty Liberal kind of move, and ill-considered in all its particulars,since Schultz was counting on customers who would be OK with the discussion,rather than just getting their drink and sitting down, with the Baristas themselves the probably unwilling vehicles for said discussions-—who would want to complicate this kind of cut-and-dried transaction with all that BS?
