After hearing the Rodney King verdict, a Korean American friend called me and asked for help stopping the mob that was coming up the streets.

Four of us jumped into a car. Armed with an Rem 870, a Mini-14, a 10-22 and a SW 357. we spent the night and the next day driving around. Anytime we saw a group gather, we should stop, get out and flash out guns.

The only time we ever saw the police was when we were stopped by a patrol car, two officers told to get off the street or we would be arrested. All the time a store was being looted behind them.

Those three days taught me a very important lessons, when the SHTF, the cops aren't coming.

How many Americans come from an organized, functional community like the Koreans do?

Korean Americans earned the respect of the country that week ... they were amazing.

“when the SHTF, the cops aren’t coming.”

They may come afterwards. At that time you may wish you had something better than “shoot, shovel and shut up”.

On a tangent note but not directly related to this story, I was reminded of this -

“On this date last year, the Orioles and White Sox played in an empty Camden Yards amid riots in Baltimore.” (ESPN tweet, won’t link)

New Orleans taught me that when the SHTF the police will come for your guns.

This is why 8 round limits and other silliness is stupid and immoral.

The police will be protecting the elites, or their own loved ones. That’s how anarchy works.

Remember that vividly, lived about 6 miles from Korea Town.
Told my wife and kids not to worry, our home was better armed than the Koreans.

I'm well-defended.

My wife is Korean...and heavily armed.

Koreans *work* for a living and are grateful to this country for the opportunities opened to them...so of *course* they can't depend on protection from the cops during a riot.

How absolutely foolish of them to believe in "The American Dream".

What the “protestors” didn’t realize is that Korea has universal conscription, so virtually all Korean males have served in the ROK Army or other branches of the military service. So they know how to handle guns and aren’t afraid to use them.

Paiting!

That photo of Americans on the roof always makes me sad...and yet proud...our amendments are so precious, our people of good will such a blessing. The cops are only so many good men, they cannot outnumber terrorizing rioters after the numbers reach a certain mass.

Failure of the two parent family and parental failure to riot against boards of education. There is a hurting people out there, clueless on how they could have helped themselves had dad and mom stayed together and fought materialism.
