Private practice After Cruz finished his clerkships, he took a position with Cooper, Carvin & Rosenthal, now known as Cooper & Kirk, LLC, from 1997 to 1998.[46] While with the firm, Cruz worked on matters relating to the National Rifle Association, and helped prepare testimony for the impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton.[47] Cruz also served as private counsel for Congressman John Boehner during Boehner's lawsuit against Congressman Jim McDermott for releasing a tape recording of a Boehner telephone conversation.[48]

Cruz: Boehner’s ‘inner Trump’ came out

By NOLAN D. MCCASKILL

04/28/16

John Boehner let his inner Donald Trump come out, Ted Cruz said Thursday in response to the former House speaker’s comments that Cruz is “Lucifer in the flesh” and the most “miserable son of a bitch” he’s ever worked with.

“John Boehner had some interesting comments last night. He actually didn’t abbreviate what he said,” Cruz told reporters during a news conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana, referring to what a reporter paraphrased as “SOB.”

“He allowed his inner Trump to come out,” Cruz added.

IIRC, Boehner won that suit against McDermott, and was awarded over $1 million. LMAO

I’d advise Cruz to keep Boehner’s mouth running if he can. No bad can come of it.

More from the article:

Cruz also pushed back on news that he and Ohio Gov. John Kasich have formed an alliance to combat Trump by backing away from each other in Indiana, Oregon and New Mexico.

“I recognize the media is eager to talk about an alliance,” said Cruz. “There is no alliance. Kasich and I made a determination where to focus party energy, where to focus our assets. Where to focus our resources.”

Lucifer Sam

Lucifer Sam, siam cat
Always sitting by your side
Always by your side
That cat’s something I can’t explain

Jennifer Gentle you’re a witch
You’re the left side
He’s the right side
Oh, no!
That cat’s something I can’t explain

Lucifer go to sea
Be a hip cat
Be a ship’s cat
Somewhere, anywhere
That cat’s something I can’t explain

At night prowling sifting sand
Hiding around on the ground
He’ll be found when you’re around
That cat’s something I can’t explain

"If I said 50 words in my life to John Boehner, I'd be surprised," said Cruz, nothing that "every one" of those conversations "has consisted of pleasantries like 'good to see you, Mr. Speaker.'"

Lyin' Ted must be one hell of a lawyer to fight the McDermott case and not say more than 44 words.

Well, in Boehner's case it's probably hard for him to separate reality from memories that sprang from a bottle.

“”If I said 50 words in my life to John Boehner, I’d be surprised,” said Cruz, nothing that “every one” of those conversations “has consisted of pleasantries like ‘good to see you, Mr. Speaker.’”

“I’ve never had any substantive conversation with John Boehner in any respect,” said Cruz,”

Hmmm,,Cruz was Boehner’s attorney. Does he deny that? Did he never talk to his client?

Why does Cruz lie so much?

“Cruz also served as private counsel for Congressman John Boehner during Boehner’s lawsuit against Congressman Jim McDermott for releasing a tape recording of a Boehner telephone conversation.[48]”

Cruz said today he hardly knows Boehner and that they have never exchanged over 40 words. Is he lying?

Boehner’s comments means nothing to me. In fact, it means I will probably give more credit to Cruz.

Do people think that real change and reform and cutting of our $3.5 TRILLION dollar government is NOT going to piss some people off - particularly someone like Boehner, who entire reputation and mindset is built on reaching agreement with Obama.
