We have property in Texas and Arizona. Last time McCain was up for re-election we changed our voting place from Texas to Arizona so we could vote against his opponent. Looks like we will be doing it again this time. So don’t know why you couldn’t vote in South Carolina. If you were an illegal or dead you could probably vote in two states, particularly if you voted Democrat.
