He had to be drinking on the flight to keep his BAC up that high if he was able to drop it to .91 in 15 minutes.

Lots of questions, as usual, left unanswered due to the lack of context from the "journalist." Hired 15 months ago, he probably is not a captain. I would hope the other pilot would not fly if the guy seemed impaired. Drinking while flying isn't a guy having a good time, it's an alcoholic.

From what I hear there is quite change in the mentality of air crews these days. A lot of people are in the "click click" club, as a description of a guy that maybe gets dinner and then goes straight to bed. Not as many party animals. I would have a tough time being an airline guy because I don't sleep that well in hotels.
