I have to admit, Cruz’s reference to a basketball hoop as a “ring” bothers me a bit. Smacks of Hillary’s lame attempts to relate to people who buy their own groceries, pump their own gas, don’t have armed guards, etc. Makes me wonder if Cruz really has anything in common with average Americans.

[Trump just needs an ad showing Cruz calling a basketball hoop a ‘ring’. That alone should win Indiana for The Donald.]

Even better, Trump needs to run a side by side ad of Howard Dean and Ted Cruz doing the same city by city/state by state rant...

Did anyone catch that last night???

Another thing about Wisconsin is you had virtually every radio talk show host bashing Trump nearly 24/7. Trump walked into an ambush at every interview he gave them. The establishment GOP was hell bent on making Wisconsin the firewall and they went all out.

Radio talk show hosts do still have a lot of influence. For example, Howie Carr in Boston helped give Trump his largest margin of victory (up to that time) in Massachusetts. Howie is a major booster of Trump and I think that influence carried into RI and CT last night as well.

That said, I'm hoping that some Hoosier Freepers can give us some insight on how Trump is being treated on local talk radio there.

I used to think he did..... about a year ago. Now, not so much. Cruz is far from what I originally thought he was. Now, I believe he isn't conservative in thought at all.

Calling a basketball hoop a "ring" is a huge gaffe.

Reminds me of the time when we learned that H W Bush didn't know what a barcode scanner was.

“...radio talk show hosts ... a lot of influence...”

This is my worry as well. I truly hope that Rush comes to his senses today and ends once and for all the ridiculous position that somehow Cruz is viable. Cruz is NOT viable after yesterday.

Trump’s “ground game” also relies on his very successful rallies. This strategy has had enormous success and will continue to do so. Trump’s ability to relate to and draw crowds is priceless in the sense that one can’t even put a valuation on it.

I am happy to hear that he is putting other strategies into the ground game in Indiana as well to counteract the dirty talk show host influence effect. This will enhance the effects of his rallies.

Here in New York State we received a great robo call from him and then another tastefully done one from his daughter, very well done. I assume he is doing this in Indiana.

I have made a decision and today at 5:00PM I am going to announce my choice for Vice President to run on my team.

I realize that I have as much chance as Ted Cruz of winning the nomination or the Presidency but, I want to make sure that I have covered this base.

Tomorrow I may just start working on my entire cabinet.

Here in Pa yesterday the trump ground game was the best.

Wife and I both got calls as to the delegates to vote for that supported trump.

There were Trump folks at the polling place handing out literature, very cheerful and one lone downcast Kasich supporter.

No Cruz ground game at all, though we did get robo calls as to which delegates supported Cruz.

Live in a district that should have been competitive for Cruz (outer suburb of Philly). Where was the ground game we heard so much about?

I am starting to doubt the vaunted ground game prognostications. I wonder if it s simply he has more money to buy delegates. After all if you have 10 million dollars allotted for that purpose it should not be that hard to go after 1237 delegates, rather than appeal to actual voters.

“...Here in Pa...”

Thanks for the Pa ground game report!

Cruz probably has a ton of money given to him by the establishment for the purpose of buying/bribing delegates. I fear you may be correct on that.

This is true and likely all 54 will actually go for Trump on the first ballot when its all said and done.

That if the feel here in PA. There was and is very much of a feeling that if the delegates do not vote for the winner in the first ballot that the republican machine here will in trouble.

So other than 1 to 4 delegates who think they know better than the 57 % of PA folks that voted Trump or from one of the counties where trump got less than 50 %, all will vote fro trump on the first ballot.

for all practical purposes Trump has ~1000 delegates after the 26th.
